MILIA: WHAT IS IT & HOW TO TREAT IT?

Updated: Jun 27, 2022

"THOSE PESKY WHITE BUMPS USUALLY FOUND AROUND THE EYES"

WHAT IS MILIA?

Milia are small white bumps filled with keratin that appear around the eyes and cheeks. These bumps are caused by a lack of water and hydration in the skin. There are a few ways to get rid of these pesky bumps:

1. The Lancet: A Lancet is a professional tool used by Esthetician's & Dermatologists to pierce the skin and help aid in the removal of whiteheads, blackheads, and milia. This option is virtually painless, and can help to immediately remove milia. With that being said the milia may return if not using proper products and ingredients to keep the skin hydrated.

2. Hyaluronic Acid: With consistent use of Hyaluronic Acid Serums can treat milia. Hyaluronic Acid brings intense hydration to the skin and can in time allow the milia to soften and dissolve. Ultimately being absorbed back into the skin.

Hyaluronic Acid improves hydration, lessens the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, as well as plumps and firms the skin.

HOW TO TREAT MILIA:

I personally recommend purchasing the Skin Script Ageless Hydrating Serum, and applying the serum over the milia twice per day. The Ageless Hydrating Serum is also safe to use all the way up to the lash line and on the lid of the eyes. You can expect to start seeing results after 2-3 months of consistent use of the Ageless Hydrating Serum.

BENEFITS OF THE AGELESS HYDRATING SERUM:

This sophisticated serum contains the peptides Matrixyl Synthe' 6, DN-AGE, and Lipomoist making it ideal for dehydrated, dry acneic, and milia-prone skin.
